NOW HIRING -- Grain Manager

Pay: $100,000/yr.

Career Responsibilities:

Manages the overall grain inventory to maximize profitability for the company while utilizing the necessary risk management tools that are consistent with the grain position policy.
Assist the elevator personnel in logistics for inbound and outbound movement of grain.
Provide cash flow projections, storage plans and budget for the grain department.
Support grain department policies and adhere to controls of the department and company as per the Authorized Grain Position Policy.
Maintain and develop the marketing skills to add to the growth of the Grain Division.
Maintain the grain bids to insure an inbound flow of grain in a competitive footprint.
Communicate with end users and make regular sales of grain to maintain elevator logistics, while achieving company profit goals and objectives.
Support and develop strong communications with all grain locations and customers which enhances grain origination for the company.
Provide regular updates to Senior Staff and Board of Directors.
Read and follow company employee policies.
Accepts additional responsibilities and duties as directed by the President / CEO.

Are You Qualified?

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability and willingness to learn company specific software.
Working knowledge of cash commodity trading and hedging experience required.
Prior experience in grain origination and selling both truck and rail.
Proven record of growing grain origination.
Prior experience leading a team to achieve and maintain goals and a positive work environment.
Excellent Organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and people skills.
Ability and willingness to work longer hours as business conditions warrants.
Valid driver’s license
Favorable pre-employment screening results
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or 5-10 years of relative experience.
